What is a Canadian?

Canada has been going through an identity crisis.

To demonstrate the point, ask yourself a simple question: What is a Canadian?

Members of the political class who have told us for the last ten years that 'Canada has no core identity' and that we are a 'post-national state' are now rising from every corner and claiming to be bastions of Canadian patriotism.

The hypocrisy of this charade is nauseating. Most of these 'elbows up' clapping seals are the same ones who supported the degradation of our flag and all that it represents under the jackboots of State goons in Ottawa.

When they say 'Canada first' (a sentiment we heartily endorse), they don't mean what we mean.

They have been putting Canada and Canadians last for generations.

They don't care about threats to the well-being of Canadians.

They supported the sloganeering tyranny of lockdowns and the decimation of the working class.

They care about threats to their power.

Patriotism, for them, is not allegiance and loyalty to Canadian values and customs, or to the Canadian people. It is allegiance to the State. Their purpose is to sever all bonds of loyalty between man and family and neighbour, and replace them with exclusive and absolute loyalty to the State.

But even if we see through this cringey display of fake patriotism, the question remains: What is a Canadian?

To answer that question, we must first answer, 'What is a nation?'

The ruling class cannot and will not answer these questions.

It is for us, true patriots, to rise to the task.

A resistance that is purely against cannot succeed. Who are we, and what are we for? We must have firmly fixed in our minds the vision we are pursuing.

We will have more to say on this in the days ahead, but suffice it to say we at Resistance are eager to seize the opportunity to recover our identity as Canadians: strong, true, free.
